More than a dealership.
A crew that stays.
We are the authorized Lagoon dealer for the U.S. and British Virgin Islands — which means the people who sell you the yacht are the same people who commission her, service her, and answer the phone three seasons later.
Based where you’ll actually be sailing.
Caribe Yacht Group operates out of St. Thomas, in the heart of the Virgin Islands cruising grounds. That location is not a detail — it is the whole proposition.
Plenty of brokers can sell a catamaran. Very few are standing on the dock when she arrives, have a technician who can be aboard the same week, and know from experience how a boat behaves through a Caribbean summer. Buying from a dealer in another country means your warranty, your commissioning and your first-season teething problems all become your problem to coordinate. Buying here means they become ours.
We handle the whole arc of ownership: selecting and specifying a new Lagoon, brokerage and trade-in, commissioning and handover, warranty and scheduled service, charter placement if you want the yacht to earn, and eventually resale when it is time for the next boat.
What an official dealership actually gives you.
It is a term used loosely in the yachting world. Here is what it means concretely when you buy a Lagoon through us.
Factory allocation
We hold build slots directly with the yard. That governs your delivery date and your access to first-run hulls of a new model — something the secondary market cannot offer at any price.
Warranty honoured locally
Your factory warranty is administered by us, on island. Claims are filed, parts ordered and work carried out without shipping the yacht anywhere or waiting on a dealer in another time zone.
Factory-trained technicians
Our service team is trained on Lagoon systems and works to yard specification, using genuine parts. The same people who commission the boat maintain her afterwards.
Proper commissioning
Rig tuning, systems checks, sea trials and a documented handover — not a set of keys and a wave. You leave the dock knowing the boat, not just owning her.
Specification guidance
Lagoon offers deep option lists. We advise on what genuinely earns its place in Caribbean conditions — ground tackle, power generation, shading, air conditioning — and what does not.
A documented history
Service records, warranty work and commissioning paperwork stay with the vessel. When you sell, that file is worth real money to the next owner.
Lagoon has been building catamarans since 1984.
Lagoon began inside Jeanneau Techniques Avancées — the advanced prototype workshop behind Jeanneau’s offshore racing programme. The brand grew out of racing multihulls, not out of a marketing department, and that engineering lineage still shows in the hulls.
Today Lagoon is part of Groupe Beneteau, the largest boatbuilding group in the world, and is the largest multihull builder on the planet — with more than 6,000 catamarans delivered. Hulls under roughly fifty feet are built at Belleville-sur-Vie and launched at Les Sables-d’Olonne; the larger yachts come out of the CNB yard in Bordeaux.
Design has been in the hands of VPLP Design — Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prévost, among the most decorated multihull architects in the sport — since the beginning, with interiors and exterior styling developed alongside Nauta Design and, more recently, Patrick le Quément.
- 1984The Lagoon name is born inside Jeanneau Techniques Avancées, a workshop built around offshore racing prototypes.
- 1987–1996The first generation — 55, 47, 57, 67 — establishes the cruising catamaran as a serious long-distance platform.
- 1995–1996Beneteau acquires Jeanneau; Lagoon development moves to Construction Navale Bordeaux and advanced composite construction.
- 2004The Lagoon 440 introduces the gull-wing nacelle and becomes one of the best-selling cruising catamarans ever built.
- 2006Lagoon launches the first cruising catamaran in the world with hybrid diesel-electric propulsion.
- 2010–todayCollaboration with Nauta Design, the flybridge generation, the SIXTY and EIGHTY power range, and 6,000+ hulls delivered worldwide.
From first conversation to the season after next.
Ownership is a sequence, not a transaction. This is the path most of our owners follow.
Understand the use case
Family cruising, long-distance passages, charter revenue, or a mix. The honest answer here decides the model, the layout and half the option list.
Match the yacht
New Lagoon build, a nearly-new hull, or quality brokerage. We will tell you when a pre-owned boat is the better buy — it often is.
Specify and build
Allocation secured, specification finalised, build tracked. You get updates from the yard rather than chasing them.
Commission and hand over
Rig, systems, sea trial, documentation, and time aboard with our captain until the boat feels like yours.
Look after her
Scheduled maintenance, warranty work, hurricane-season planning, guardianage while you are away.
Move on well
When the time comes, a documented service history and a dealer relationship make the next sale — and the next boat — considerably easier.
A small team, on island, who answer the phone.
You will deal with the same handful of people from first enquiry through to your third season. That continuity is the point.

The reason you buy from a real dealer is the season after the sale.
