Caribe Yacht Group has sold and looked after yachts from St. Thomas since 2015. We are the authorized Lagoon dealer in the Caribbean, Florida and the Mediterranean.
Who is Caribe Yacht Group?
Caribe Yacht Group is a yacht brokerage and dealership based in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. It was founded in 2015 as a practical solution for Caribbean-based yacht sales — buyers in the islands were being served from Florida by people who had never seen the boat, the dock or the weather. We are the authorized Lagoon dealer in the Caribbean, Florida and the Med, and we also broker quality pre-owned yachts of every make.
What does Caribe Yacht Group do?
We sell yachts, and then we keep them running. That combination is deliberate: a broker who never sees the boat again has no reason to be honest with you about it. Our work falls into four parts.
- Yacht sales. New Lagoon catamarans as the authorized dealer in the Caribbean, Florida and the Med, and vetted pre-owned yachts from across the Caribbean and the US East Coast — Lagoon, Beneteau, Leopard, Boston Whaler and others.
- Yacht care and guardianage. Looking after boats whose owners are not on the island, which in the Virgin Islands is most of them: maintenance, refits, bottom paint, detailing and warranty work.
- Charter management. Putting an owner’s yacht into charter so it earns while they are away, through our partner company Charter Caribe.
- New-build concierge. Specifying a Lagoon from the factory, handling the paperwork, and delivering it into the islands.

Why the Virgin Islands?
Short hops between anchorages, reliable trade winds, and a charter market that lets a yacht pay part of its own way. The Virgins are the sailing capital of the Caribbean, and one of the few places where owning a large catamaran makes practical sense rather than only romantic sense — which is why we have spent our whole working lives here rather than selling into it from a desk somewhere else.

What is the difference between a sailing and a power catamaran?
A sailing catamaran carries a rig and uses wind as its primary means of propulsion, with engines for manoeuvring and calms. A power catamaran has no rig and runs on engines throughout, trading sail handling for higher average passage speeds, more interior volume and simpler operation. Both share the twin-hull advantages of stability at anchor and shallow draft.
How many catamarans has Lagoon built?
Lagoon states it has built over 7,000 catamarans since 1984, which makes it the largest cruising catamaran builder in the world. Lagoon began as the multihull division of Jeanneau and has been part of Groupe Beneteau since 1995.
Can I buy a yacht from Caribe Yacht Group remotely?
Yes. Listings, specifications and photography are online, a refundable hold can be requested without visiting, and a broker guides survey, sea trial, documentation and delivery. Most buyers still travel for the sea trial before closing.
