The SIXTY series splits by number: the 5 carries a rig, the 7 does not. With 168m² of mainsail and 102m² of genoa the SIXTY 5 is a proper sailing yacht at a scale most people assume must be motor. Lagoon describes her as an intrepid explorer, and the tankage backs that up.

The SIXTY 5 is the larger of Lagoon’s two big sailing catamarans, sitting below the EIGHTY 2, and she is a heavier boat than the 60 on every figure that matters: 39.2 tonnes light against 35.2, 272m² upwind against 230, and a 33.9m air draft that closes off some bridged water the 60 can still use. If air draft is part of your cruising plan, that single number may decide between the two boats before anything else does.

Handling is organised entirely around the flybridge, where Lagoon puts the helm and the electronics; there is no second, lower helm station in the published specification. The rig is a conventional full-batten mainsail of 168m² with a 102m² furling genoa and an optional 150m² Code 0 — a reaching and trade-wind boat rather than a windward machine, and at this displacement she wants reefing early rather than late. With four to six cabins and 1,000 litres of water she suits owners cruising with guests and, in practice, with crew.
