Eighty-two feet, 338m² of sail upwind, a flybridge over fifty square metres, and a swim platform that opens to twenty-two. The EIGHTY 2 is the largest sailing catamaran Lagoon builds. Two John Deere diesels are there to manoeuvre and to cover calms; the boat is meant to be sailed.
The EIGHTY 2 is drawn by VPLP, with exterior styling shared between VPLP and Patrick le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design. She takes over at the head of the sailing range from the SEVENTY 7, which Lagoon now lists under Heritage, and sits clear of the 60 below her. The step up is volume and structure more than length: 23.91m of hull, 11m of beam, and a flybridge of more than fifty square metres carrying twin helms and solar panels. Upwind sail area is 338m², air draft 36.6m.
The published figures set expectations honestly: 1.90m draft, 2 × 1,400 litres of fuel and 2 × 800 litres of water, and a pair of 230hp John Deere N5 diesels for manoeuvring and motoring. Lagoon presents her as a boat conceived for long passages with family and friends, but publishes no cruising speed under power and no displacement figure — both belong on the question list before an order goes in. With up to five en-suite cabins and eight to sixteen berths she reads as a crewed boat, and works equally as a private yacht or a crewed charter platform.

Layouts
The versions Lagoon builds. Which one suits you is usually the first real decision.

The most generous individual cabins, galley in a hull.
Five cabins, galley down
Five cabins, galley below.
Five cabins, galley up
The same accommodation with the galley moved into the saloon, freeing hull volume.
Saloon, galley up or galley down
The saloon itself is a choice between the two galley positions.
Flybridge, fitted or loose furniture
Lagoon leaves the flybridge open to be furnished as the owner wants.
Lagoon publishes cabin plans without head counts or per-version berth figures. Ask us and we will get the exact arrangement for the boat you are considering.
