Why this one matters

FLIBS is the last major show before the Caribbean season, and the one where boats are bought to be used that winter. It is enormous — seven venues linked by shuttle boats — which is a strength if you know what you are looking for and a nightmare if you do not. It is also the show closest to the Virgin Islands, and where a lot of Caribbean deliveries begin.

Making the trip work

  • Pick your venues before you arrive. Trying to see all seven in a day means seeing none of them properly.
  • Wednesday opens at midday and is the quietest half-day of the show.
  • The water taxis between venues are the fastest route and the only pleasant one. Do not drive between sites.

Common questions

Why does FLIBS matter for a Caribbean buyer?

Timing. It runs weeks before the Caribbean season opens, so a boat bought at FLIBS can be in the Virgin Islands for the winter. We handle the delivery from Florida regularly.

Can Caribe Yacht Group meet me at FLIBS?

Yes, and we would rather plan it than bump into you. Tell us your dates and what you want to see.
